The Tea House on Los Rios
Don’t be late for a very important date… Hadley’s first tea party! We celebrated our daughter’s birthday at a tea house. The Tea House on Los Rios is absolutely breathtaking! A hidden gem, for sure. The details were perfect and made the day feel even more special. Now, this party was more for me but something that I will cherish forever. As a first time mama, I needed this! Don’t worry she had a birthday party that following weekend with family and friends and lots of dessert :)
For this event, we made reservations a few nights in advance. However, there weren’t many spots left and this was for a Wednesday. I would make reservations a couple weekends in advance if possible. The reservations got us a table and we had the option to do afternoon tea or order off of the regular menu or do both. We did the afternoon tea service.
We did The Mission Tea. I am a chai tea girl, so I got the chai tea and it did not disappoint. They had sugar cubes and cream ready for us on the table. Everything was separated into courses and you do not feel rushed at all! Word of advice, don’t fill up on the scone! It is very delicious but save room for the sandwiches! The server was lovely and brought out an extra slice of chocolate cake which was the perfect size for baby girl!
The Mission Tea included: Freshly Baked Currant Scone with Raspberry Preserves and Early California Cream Your Selection of One of Our Specialty Soups or a Garden Salad with Choice of Dressing Six Assorted Tea Sandwiches Fresh Fruit, Served with Brown Sugar and Cream A Duo of Sweets Your Selection of Premium Loose Leaf Tea $45 Per Guest.
Well worth the price! Everything was exquisite and very delicious. My daughter, who isn’t picky at all, loved it. I couldn’t recommend enough!
They also have a gift shop next door that has a great selection of different teas. This is perfect to continue the tea experience at home. They also have a handful of other things (toys, jewelry, decor).
